We will meet at the East Field on Tuesday, August 3^rd (beginning at 6:30 pm). This will also be a Business Meeting.

Agenda:

• Board reports/Q&A
• Ratify/elect Officers
• Show and Tell,  and
• Night flying

The sole business item on the agenda of the meeting is to ratify the current slate of officers, excluding the Vice President. I say ratify because, as of this writing, I am not aware of any new candidates other than for Vice President. Chip Aydelott is stepping down as VP and Bruce Verwest is presently our only candidate. If you are interested in running for office (for the remaining 3 months of the 2021 term), please contact the nominating committee (see separate advertisement in this NL).

It does not escape me that this may seem a little silly (i.e. holding the 2021 election with only 3 months remaining in the term). The reasons we are doing it, are because: that is what we (as a Board) agreed to do; and, that is what we promised (to you all) that we would do. In addition to that, we do have a new candidate for VP that has been patiently waiting in the wings. This is new ground for all of us and (obviously) we expected to do this quite some time ago. Things just did not quite work out as we all had planned.
