Colorado Pattern Challenge

Welcome to the 2025 Colorado Pattern Challenge (CPC)!

The CPC is hosted by the Arvada Associated Modelers. This is our 16th CPC in as many years and
will take place at the AAM East Field.  The CPC is 3-day, AA, Sanctioned
event for RC Aerobatics for Sportsman, Intermediate, Advanced, Masters,
F3A Silver and F3A (P&F) (JSA combined).

There is a practice day on Friday, then 6 rounds planned (4 Saturday/2 Sunday) with contestant judging.
Trophy/plaques will be awarded for 3 places, each class. There are NO aircraft
restrictions for Sportsman flyers.

Entry fee is $45 (all contestants) and includes lunch and beverages all 3 days. The CPC also has many
sponsors and prizes. We typically give away over $1,000 in sponsorship merchandise to contestants and
helpers. No one goes away empty-handed!

Special Notice to AAM Members
Please be advised the East Field will be closed to general flying during the 2025 Colorado Pattern
Challenge Friday (practice day) through Sunday, June 13-15, 2025. The East Field will be re-opened to
general flying AFTER the conclusion of contest activities. Expected East Field closure hours are as
follows:
Friday (6/13/2025) – 7:00 am to 6:00 pm (Practice day)
Saturday (6/14/2025) – 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (Contest)
Sunday (6/15/2025) – 7:00 am to 3:00 pm (Contest)

Vern Lake Float Fly

Long Lake Ranch Park, Vern Lake, Arvada, CO, 80403

Come join us for the AAM 2025 float fly series at Long Lake Ranch Park on Vern Lake.  It’s free to watch and has a small  $5 landing fee for pilots.  

A small boat is available if there are any “mishaps.”  Only spread spectrum ( 2.4GHz and/or 900mhz frequencies) will  be allowed.  There will be a toilet on site.

Flying will run from 9am to 3pm, weather permitting.

Our Vern Lake site is  FRIA approved site.
