Assault gliders played an important, but largely forgotten role during World War II. In
just a few years, the U.S. produced 14,000 gliders and trained 6,000 glider pilots.
The story of these aircraft and the men who flew them is a fascinating piece of aviation
history, which I hope to sum it up in 30 minutes!
